Hi! Welcome to my site – this page is just here to give you some background information about me. Who am I and why am I here? I’m Mike Elliott. I love the blues and I love playing the blues guitar. I’m not a virtuoso guitarist, a professional musician or a guitar teacher by any means. Then again, with the blues, it’s very personal, don’t you agree? It’s all about the player expressing themselves through the music, no matter what level you’re at. Playing blues guitar is a hobby for me, and it’s a hobby that I’m passionate about.

I’ve been playing the guitar for years, sometimes with my friends, but mostly just for my own pleasure. At times I’ve felt like I’m getting nowhere fast. We all have times like those but I’m glad I’ve kept at it, because after all the years of playing the blues I still get a great kick out of picking up a new lick, or playing an old  tune just right.

I’ve set this up to help you to learn blues guitar. Let’s be clear though – I’m not going to teach you myself! I don’t think there’s any need for you to shell out big cash on guitar lessons either. There are plenty of great stuff online, that you can get your hands on free or very cheaply, that will give you all that you need. I’ll point you in the right direction so you can get the most out of playing the blues guitar. Enjoy the journey!
